It was a really good course, masha'Allah. I was impressed with the organization of everything. But as with any institute, it could use some improvement here and there, but nothing major.

I hear they're starting an intensive 30 day course going over the tafsir of the whole Qur'an in preparation for Ramadan. I wanted to join, but I'll be working during that time period. If you're free, you should try listening in and joining the class.

Feeling rejected from helping on the battle fields, Zayd did not dwell and instead focused his energy on a different task– that of memorizing the Qur’an. He started slow, memorizing 17 surahs, but patiently continued. He later became one of the foremost scholars of the Qur’an. The Prophet sallalahu alayhi waslaam used to seek the help of Zayd in recording new revelations, learning different languages to communicate with non-Arabs, sending letters and interpreting messages.

That part is awesome. Even if we only know a few surahs now, or are struggling with the Qur'an, by trying hard and having patience we can become much more literate with the Qur'an. May Allah make the Qur'an a part of our lives.
