I really hate the "did you find a job yet?" question. It took me a while to find a job in this economy and I dreaded getting together with people and sometimes avoided it because I knew I would get asked that question by every single person. As if I didn't already feel bad enough! People need to learn to mind their own business.

Nice one! The following have questions have been asked to a number of people I know.

1. Family planning privacy fail

To 3 to 5 years married person without children yet:

- "Why haven't you guys had kids yet? Get moving/pick up the pace!"
- "Are you guys trying?"
- The worst: Aunty touches stomach of woman, "when is this thing going to get filled up, huh?"

Because you're allowed to ask people about their bedroom private life and besides that don't want to consider that maybe they have medical difficulty having children and asking them would make things worse.

2. Obscure wedding love standards fail

To girl who doesn't want to dance to music at or wear make up to a wedding:

- "Why aren't you dancing/dressed up/wearing make up, don't you love (insert name of bride/friend/cousin)?"
- "Come on, do it for (name of bride)!"

Despite the majority opinion that music is Islamically impermissible and because women shouldn't beautify themselves where men are around and you will not stand for anyone practicing their religion differently than you, dancing and putting whale blubber on your face is a sign of loving someone.

3. Obvious physical problems fail

To anyone with any physical deformity/issue that's not their fault (and not temporary/accidental like a broken bone):

- "What happened to your face/nose/eye/hair?"
- "You should do something about your (insert problematic area here)."
- "Dude! Your (problematic area) is/are (problem)!"

Because the person with a zits on their face, hair falling out, or giant birth mark on their face presumably doesn't get enough of a reminder of their physical issue by seeing themselves in the mirror everyday and needed the person telling them to inform them once more (usually in front of other people).

@bintkhalil, you'd surprised to hear that not all of those are from aunties! But I'm guessing that whoever said it picked it up from their aunty-parental-counterparts :)

The pimples questions is annoying! Especially because when they ask they are usually about two centimeters from your face and looking at you like a specimen in a science lab!

Asslamu alaikum
How many of these were said by aunties? Or rather, were any of these actually not said by aunties?
