I was born in Saudi Arabia in 1985, but grew up in Northville, Michigan since 1989. I went to Northville Public Schools grades K-12 and consider myself to be a well-adjusted Muslimah living in America.
I went to the University of Michigan and graduated with a BS in Biology and Math. I spent on year working at an Islamic School in Ann Arbor and fulfilling my dreams of teaching HS Bio and Algebra, alhumdu’lillah.
In June of 2008 I moved to Illinois to live with my husband and his family. Here, I will continue my career as an educator at a local Islamic School where I’ve been employed as the 8th and 9th grade Algebra 1 & Geometry teacher.
In my free time I enjoy acting like a goon with my family, laughing, cooking and/or eating, and, of course, spending time with the old husband, Mr. SaqibSaab himself
Hi! I’m writing you on behalf of the Protection Project. We are collecting some insights from Islamic bloggers on the position of Islam regarding Human Trafficking and we’d love to know what you’d have to say about the topic. What is your opinion regarding the stance of Islam on trafficking and exploitation of women, children and domestic workers? Thank you very much!
